Well day 11 went kind of south as well. I know my post is a little late but I still took it on day 11. :)

Sick kids and a busy wife made today not so interesting. I promise something better for tomorrow. ;)

Day 9

Two shots today. Both are a bit different. I originally wanted a grungy shot. However this cleaner version really came out well I think.

I really like how this one came out as well. Its almost like the universe itself is captured inside the bulb. The very fabric of space and time itself is in the center and the stars are spinning all around.

Ok now for a little humor.
I found this little shopping center in a more ritzy suburb of Toledo (where I live). I buy my books from the bookstore there and its a really nice place. Its new construction and they have some neat benches and walkways and fountains and stuff. Mind you this is an outdoor shopping center. I drove around, found a cool view (see the photo), parked the care and took the picture. I then walked to the right (in the photo) and was going to take some shots of the bench and trash can. Next thing I know this guy comes out of one of those doors yelling at me that I can't take pictures here. :) I figured he owned the shop he came out of and just didn't want me right there. Little did I know that whilst kneeling down to frame my shot I knelt down right in front of the shopping center security office door. :P He was the security guy. After I got over my shock I politely apologized, thanked him for letting me know, and got back in my car. So here is the only shot I got of the place. Didn't turn out real interesting but I thought the story behind it was.

Day 7

These are all taken in Maumee, OH. Maumee was nominated as the "All American City" in 2006. My choice image here is of the historic Maumee theater. The theater was renovated several years ago and now houses small plays and second run movies. Technically I wish there was no traffic in the shot. I tried to minimize the distracting traffic by taking the shot behind the wall to the street. I wanted to emphasize the sign anyway, however I may go back later in the 30 day period and shoot the whole thing inside and out as its a really neat building.

Day 6

Ok well I had great hopes for todays shoot. Went out, talked the carousel girl into letting me take some pictures. And then I didn't get much.
But here they are. I was trying to go for that mean horse look. I always thought those horses looked mean and figured some kids might be really afraid of them and tried to represent what they must look like to kids.

My nice little overlay is really screwing up image quality when viewed full. I am working on a way to fix that. So if the full looks really pixelated and generally nasty thats why. The full res copies are just as smooth as those thumbnails.
I took the overlay full view thing off. Let me know if you all like it better without it. I know the images are bigger but it isn't distorting them now.

More rain today but it did make for some good clouds. :)
